Advance Deposit & Cancellation:
The Mill Street Inn has a 14 day cancellation policy from late May through mid September and 5 day cancellation policy for the remainder of the year. An advance deposit equal to one night's stay will be charged at the time of booking. The balance is due upon arrival. This deposit is fully refundable if we receive cancellation notification 14 (or 5) days prior to the day of arrival. Any cancellations received within 14 (or 5) days of arrival will forfeit their entire stay. We will allow one re-booking within cancellation if necessary. We must be informed of the date you wish to re-booking to by 3:00 p.m. on the day of original arrival. Availability and rates may be subject to change dependent on the dates you select for re-booking.
Access to upper Floors:
We apologize, but the Mill Street Inn does not have an elevator to reach our 2nd floor. Should physical limitations affect your ability to traverse stairs, please notify us when booking your stay. We will make every effort to ensure your room is on the 1st floor. Our Townhouse Suites are all located on the second floor of the inn and also are all bi-level with additional stairs connecting the living room and bedroom of each suite.
Rates are based on double occupancy. We have a limited number of Deluxe Suites with full size sofa sleepers that can accommodate up to four guests with existing bedding. There is a $25 per night charge for each additional occupant. Please note that although convenient, the sleeper sofas do not offer the same level of comfort for adults as our beds. For your comfort, we suggest that parties of four adults reserve two rooms rather than share one room. Our Studio and Townhouse Suites are able to accommodate only 2 guests each.
The Mill Street Inn has limited parking on property which is subject to availability upon guest arrival at the Inn. As a historic property in downtown Newport, we are fortunate to be able to offer this complimentary amenity to our guests. Guests are welcome to use the available parking lot on our property or select an alternate lot nearby. We cannot accommodate more than one vehicle per guest room, campers, medium/large trucks or buses. Additional parking is available for a fee within a few blocks of the Inn.
The Mill Street Inn is a completely non-smoking hotel. There is a $50 per day fine for smoking in a guestroom or other parts of the Hotel. Smoking is not allowed on balconies or the roof deck for the comfort of other guests.
The Mill Street Inn has a limited number of pet friendly suites. We accept pets up to 80lbs, 1 per suite. There is a $50 non-refundable fee required. Guests are responsible for all damages that may be caused by their pet, including noise, and will be required to sign a pet policy at check in. Call or email us for any questions or to request a full copy of the pet policy. Should we not be notified that you are bringing a pet in advance, we reserve the right to apply a $150 deep cleaning fee if we are not able to provide a pet friendly room at check in.
