What do our Guests Say
Stayed 2 nights recently at this small hotel in downtown Newport. Fantastic hotel that is in a landmark building. Rooms are all suites and look brand new with all of the latest high end furnishings, fixtures and amenities. We had a living room with large HD TV, buffet area with a mini fridge and separate bedroom w/ King bed.
Bathroom shower and fixtures were beautiful and all new. The best towels and robes. Really, nothing more you could ask for while staying in Newport. Tremendous attention to details and everything possible to please guests.
Rates compare favorably to other 5 star hotels and are even a bargain when you consider no resort fee and free parking (normally $35 per night in Newport). Free breakfast as well that was great!!
Absolutely clean and nice laid back service. If you need or want something, just ask for it. Entire staff was very friendly and eager to help. Best choice for us, if visiting Newport area.
Location is perfect and in walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. One of the best experiences we have had in 40 years of traveling.

Every staff member there is friendly, knowledgeable, warm, and caring. You sincerely feel as though you're staying with friends or family.
You're always greeted with a smile and a nice cool beverage upon your arrival. Parking at the hotel is also a big bonus in Newport. The rooms are immaculate and cozy, but most importantly the beds are the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. The turn-down maid brings you sweet little treats and personalized greetings with local activities and weather. This place just gives me the warm and fuzzies every time.
The location couldn't be better. Just two blocks from the heartbeat of the restaurants, tourist shops and bars. And because you're two blocks away you also do not hear the noise of hustle and bustle of the street scene at night The hotel is very quiet. Also, the charm and ambiance of this restored mill leaves you feeling calm and at ease.
Breakfast on the rooftop deck is something to be seen. Overlooking rooftops, views of the water and church steeples. What a gorgeous setting for a most satisfying breakfast. Everything from fresh fruit juices, coffees/teas, pastry, toasts, jams, broiled grapefruit, prosciutto crostini, small omelet sandwiches, and so much more.
Again, we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Newport. As a matter of fact, when we were checking out this year we went ahead and booked for June 2017. It is evident throughout the Mill Street Inn that someone cares and wants all of your guest to feel happy and cared for. See you soon!!!
