Newport Winter Festival

New England's Winter Extravaganza with more than 160 events combining food, music and entertainment for all ages.

Saint Patrick's Day Parade

Find your best green attire, keep your eyes open for leprechauns, and join in the revelry to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Newport! The parade begins at 11 a.m. at City Hall, runs through Washington Square, down Thames Street, and ends at St. Augustine's Church.

Newport Restaurant Week

Tantalize your taste buds at Newport and Bristol Restaurant Week. Diners will enjoy three course prix-fixe meals at exceptional values lunch for $16 and dinner for $32. Enjoy a three-course meal from some of the finest restaurants in the area without breaking the bank! From a steaming cup of chowder overlooking the harbor to fine dining in romantic restaurants, Newport County restaurants offer an array of creative menus.

Daffodil Days Festival

Featuring nine days and more than 20 festive, family-friendly events amid nearly one million daffodils throughout the city, Newport Daffodil Days Festival on Bowen's and Bannister's Wharf with the official ribbon of daffodils cutting, live music, games, a "daffy" conga line and crowning of the Daffodil Queen. From a Daffy Doggies Parade and painting among the daffodils to private garden tours to parties, Newport Daffodil Days celebrates one of the most vibrant times throughout our City by the Sea.

Volvo Ocean Race

The Volvo Ocean Race is often described as the longest and toughest professional sporting event in the world, sailing’s toughest team challenge and one of the sport’s Big Three events, alongside the Olympics and America’s Cup.There is a renewed emphasis on the Southern Ocean and a new set of rules too – incentivizing mixed crews of male and female sailors and more strategic innovation out on the racecourse.
 A total of 2.4 million people visited the Race Villages in the last edition, to get a first-hand taste of the race. Millions more followed the action on our digital platforms and this time fans will be able to get even closer in person and online, with a newly imagined pit lane experience at the Host Cities and more live updates from the boat than ever.


The Bowen's Wharf Newport Oyster Festival

Taste your way around Rhode Island with oysters from 12 different growers and four restaurants featuring flavors unique to the Ocean State right in the middle of Bowen's and Bannister's Wharf in downtown Newport.

Newport Flower Show

Celebrating its 17th year as America�s premier summer flower show, the 2012 Newport Flower Show will welcome visitors with the grace and sophistication that has raised entertaining to an art form in the City-by-the-Sea. "Entertaining�Newport Style" will be held on the historic grounds of Rosecliff, which hosted some of the most fabulous parties of the Gilded Age in the early 20th century and remains a setting for elegant receptions and entertainment to this day.

Newport Folk Festival

The Newport Folk Festival, founded by George Wein in 1959, takes place on the grounds at Fort Adams State Park and features four stages of world class musicians, food, vendors and a number of exhibits. Fort Adams is located at 90 Fort Adams Dr., Newport, RI. One of the park system’s national treasures, Fort Adams is situated at the mouth of Newport Harbor with panoramic views of the Newport Bridge and the East Passage. The festival runs rain or shine.

Newport Jazz Festival

The festival features three full days of jazz on four unique stages on the grounds at Fort Adams State Park situated at the mouth of Newport Harbor with panoramic views of the Newport Bridge and the East Passage  The festival features four stages of world class musicians, food, and crafts and a number of exhibits.

Dell Technologies Hall of Fame Open

Each year, top ATP World Tour pros head to Newport to compete in the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, the first stop of the summer swing for pro tennis in the United States.  Contested on the historic grass tennis courts of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, which have hosted all the legends of the sport since 1880, the tournament is the only event played on grass courts outside of Europe, and it offers the only opportunity to see professional men's tennis in the Northeast prior to the US Open. Newport International Boat Show

The Newport International Boat Show encompasses 13 acres of historic Newport Harbor allowing you to enjoy everything the City-by-the-Sea has to offer while experiencing a full range of powerboats and sailboats from both domestic and international companies - many making their official debut in Newport! Visitors will also find an extensive array of marine equipment, services and accessories to round out the boat show experience.

So whether you’re in the market for a center console - perfect for a harbor cruise and a fun-filled day of fishing, or a yacht with all the luxuries you can imagine for an extended voyage, the Newport International Boat Show has it all! Come see, feel and test the merchandise and talk to the experts who can answer all your important questions. With over 600 exhibitors, you many need more than one day to see everything!

Food and Wine Festival

The Newport Food and Wine festival is held at some of Newport's most famed, Gilded-Age Mansions - The Elms, Marble House, and Rosecliff. The festival is a grand tasting with hundreds of wines under big tents on the lawn of Marble House, celebrity appearances and cooking demonstrations by national, regional and local chefs, educational seminars with leading food & wine experts, a gala at famous Rosecliff, a Burgundy Grand Cru dinner at the Elms, a Sunday Jazz Brunch on the Marble House Terrace, and a Newport After Dark Party.
