Saint Patrick's Day Parade

Find your best green attire, keep your eyes open for leprechauns, and join in the revelry to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Newport! The parade begins at 11 a.m. at City Hall, runs through Washington Square, down Thames Street, and ends at St. Augustine's Church. Saturday March 12. 11am

Newport Restaurant Week

3rd Annual Food & Wine Expo

30th Annual Great Chowder Cook-Off

The world’s original and longest running chowder competition, the 30th Annual Great Chowder Cook-Off. The competition, which determines bragging rights to the world’s “chowda” champion title among dozens of restaurants, is divided into Clam, Seafood, and Creative chowder categories and kicks-off the summer season in Newport. June 4

Sail Newport Family Sailing Festival

10am-3pm. Bring the Entire Family - Experience Sailing. All ages are invited for free sailboat rides. Sail Newport experienced skippers will give tours of Newport Harbor and Brenton Cove. June 4

The 157th Annual Regatta

In 1845, nine yachts gathered off the Club’s first clubhouse in Hoboken, New Jersey to compete in the first running of what then became the Annual Regatta. The oldest and longest running regatta in America, New York Yacht Club’s Annual Regatta presented by Rolex will be held for the 157th time this coming June 10th-12th

J-Class Newport Regatta

The J-Class yachts Velsheda, Ranger and Shamrock V will be participating in The J-Class Newport Regatta, the first of a series of global J-Class events. June 15-19

Newport Flower Show

Celebrating its 16th year as America’s premier summer flower show, the 2011 Newport Flower Show will welcome visitors with the grace and sophistication that has raised entertaining to an art form in the City-by-the-Sea. "Entertaining—Newport Style" will be held on the historic grounds of Rosecliff, which hosted some of the most fabulous parties of the Gilded Age in the early 20th century and remains a setting for elegant receptions and entertainment to this day. June 24-26
