The Mooring ($$-$$$) Sayer's Wharf

Harbor view dining all year round and outside dining on their deck in the summer. Top quality food and service, in a smart casual atmosphere. Excellent seafood, burgers, and continental dishes.

Brick Alley Pub ($$) 140 Thames Street

This pub offers a casual and fun atmosphere with an expansive menu that can please everybody. Great for families and has a very cool bar. The pub has excellent food at reasonable prices served by attentive staff. The pub is the home of the best white sangria in Newport.

Fluke ($$) Bowen's Wharf

Imaginative cuisine served tapas style. Visit their trendy wine bar on the top level for great views of the harbor and an amazing wine and cocktail list. Fluke is very popular on weekend nights for good reason.

22 Bowens ($$$) Bowen's Wharf

22 Bowens is the sister restaurant to the Moorings. It is a steak house, but also serves well known seafood classics. They have 2 elegant indoor bars and a very fun outdoor bar that overlooks Bowen's Wharf. There is some outdoor dining during the summer months.

Clarke Cooke House ($$-$$$) Bannister's Wharf

There is elegant dining in this colonial house on the waterfront. The bistro side, has great views of the harbor and a more casual menu and ambience. The candlelit dining room is very romantic in any season. They offer wonderful food with imaginative nightly specials.

White Horse Tavern ($$$) 26 Marlborough Street

Elegant candlelit dining in a very intimate atmosphere can be found at this historic tavern. The White Horse is the oldest operating tavern in the country and was opened in 1697. Sophisticated American and continental cuisine is served by attentive staff. Jackets are recommended, but not required.

Black Pearl ($$-$$$) Bowen's Wharf

Best experienced in their outdoor seating area in the middle of Bowen's Wharf. Great people watching, okay food, great chowder.
